Welcome to my worlds.
Two universes coexist within me.
Two faces of the same creative breath.

My name is Willy Charpentier, I was born in 1980, and for more than 25 years I have been tracing, shaping, and exploring the contours of human emotion.

My story begins at the age of 10.
Drawing was my refuge, a suspended space where the world fell silent and freedom became tangible.

Adolescence brought me my first artistic shock: graffiti.
In an abandoned factory, with my friends, I discovered wild murals on weary walls.
Cries of color, bursts of revolt.
I wasn’t ready—too young, too far from the cities where hip‑hop culture was taking root.

At that time, another dream lived within me:
becoming a professional cyclist.
From 14 to 18, I pedaled relentlessly, chasing a horizon that eventually dissolved.

Around the age of 20, calm returned.
I found my father’s oil paints again, and with them, a renewed need to create.
Painting imposed itself—first classical, then more intimate, more visceral.

The years passed, my style took shape,
and “Charps” was born.
A name, a gaze on humanity—its flaws, its dreams, its silences.
I explored oil, then clay, which became bronze or plaster.
I shaped, I molded,
I gave form to what slipped through my finge...
