Nicky Mcginn

Nicky has worked in the design and architecture industry in Sydney, Australia for over 25 years. In 2024 she received a weekend sculpture course as a gift and fell in love with the art. Since then she’s been studying at the Tom Bass Sculpture School and working full time honing her sculpting skills.

Nicky’s work references the designs and motifs of the mid-century era while examining the interplay between positive and negative shapes.

She works primarily with traditional sculptural materials such as marble, alabaster, plaster and glass, using their distinct textures and physical properties to further enhance the dialogue between presence and absence.
