Elena Drobenkova

My paintings combine lyrical realism with elements of decorative painting and subtle stylization of form. I am drawn to expressive, living color and to a sensitive treatment of atmosphere and space. I enjoy discovering beauty in simple subjects — old trees, garden corners, rural landscapes, shifting skies, and light.

In my work, I strive not only to depict the visible image of nature, but also to convey its mood, breath, and inner silence. I am inspired by changing light, the rhythm of branches, the movement of air, and the quiet poetry of everyday life. I devote most of my time to plein air painting, as well as still lifes and interior sketches.

I am a professional artist trained in the traditions of an academic school of painting. My artistic education was shaped during my studies at the Faculty of Graphic Design at Moscow State University named after M. A. Sholokhov, where I studied drawing, composition, and painting under the guidance of masters connected with the classical art tradition.
