Chidiadi Alpho-Okwaraejesu is a Nigerian self-taught artist with a focus on hyperrealistic portraiture. Creating with charcoal, pastel and colored pencils, he uses narrative-driven imagery to explore themes of identity, culture, memory and personal freedom. He draws inspiration from lived experiences and inherited traditions to examine how social and cultural systems shape behaviour and self-perception within contemporary African society.
Chidiadi has showcased his work at exhibitions like the +234 Art Fair and the Babalakin & Co Art Exhibition. He is currently expanding his practice into acrylics, using the medium to bring a new dimension of texture and presence to his pieces.
