Natalis Repkovska

I travel to places that choose me and I record their acoustic trace in the present time. I transform the intangible natural sound frequency of the places into tangible, visual outputs. Each place I visit provides a whole new palette of inspiration for my creative expression. The captured energy, transformed into oil paintings, becomes a visual diary of my experiences, making them unforgettable, unrepeatable. Each energy is deeply stored within me. It is as if I am a storage container for the present and the fleeting, volatile sounds all around us.

The way I immerse myself in the sounds of my environment with my eyes closed to capture the essence for my paintings is a way to connect with my surroundings.
