Ruben Miranda

Born in Cuba in 1990, I developed a passion for visual arts from an early age, beginning to draw at the age of five. As my interest in art grew, I continued my artistic development through various institutions and workshops, including the Casa de Artes y Tradiciones Chinas, the Asociación Canaria de Cuba, and studies with renowned Cuban cartoonist Cecilio Avilés, creator of the iconic character “Cecilín y Coti.”

Throughout my youth, I participated in collective exhibitions and art competitions, constantly exploring new ways to express ideas, emotions, and personal experiences through visual language. My artistic journey has always been driven by a fascination with the human condition, symbolism, and the emotional narratives that connect us all.

After moving to Spain, I gradually built a new life and found the stability needed to reconnect with one of my deepest passions: creating art. Returning to painting became a way of giving form to thoughts, emotions, and experiences that words alone could not express.

Today, my work focuses on creating emotionally charged pieces that combine realism, symbolism, and sculptural elements, exploring themes such as love, sacrifice, identity, loss, and personal transformation.
