Marina Stanislavovna Lebedko

I was born in Gomel, Belarus, where my passion for art began in childhood. Drawing, music, and horseback riding played an important role in my early years. Although I studied piano, inspired by my parents’ musical background, visual art remained my greatest love. I attended a children’s art school for three years, developing the creative foundation that would stay with me throughout my life.

After becoming an elementary school teacher, I spent ten years teaching art in primary schools in Gomel. Following my move to the Netherlands in 1998, art temporarily gave way to other responsibilities and professional pursuits. However, creativity never left me.

A serious car accident became a turning point in my life. During recovery, while using a wheelchair, I returned to sketching and rediscovered the comfort, healing, and inspiration that art had always provided. Although there were periods when painting again took a secondary place in my life, my connection to art remained strong.

Since 2018, I have dedicated myself fully to painting. Through continuous study, online courses, and inspiration drawn from the works of great masters in museums, I have continued to develop my artistic voice and technical skills.
