Andrea Siliprandi

My artworks emerge as an extension of my clinical practice as a psychotherapist.

The choice of neutral tones combined with bold, expressive colours evokes the child self and the earliest stages of life.

The present is conceived as a time of deep emotional bonds, maturity, and fruition.

The family context is represented as a nest, as well as an open space for conflict and dialogue among the figures who inhabit it: the couple, the parent, the individual.

Against this backdrop, a dual and ever-transforming self takes shape, suspended between the echoes of childhood and the rise of a rebellious, untamed spirit.

I explore a dimension suspended between joy and loss, nostalgia and gratitude, the evanescence of a time that can never return yet continues to exist within memory.

I narrate a form of joyful melancholy.

Ambivalence, fragility, and the beauty of remembrance are transformed into an evocative and emotional experience.
