Japanese.
One of the defining characteristics of my work is that each painting is titled with a haiku poem or tanka poem, reflecting my commitment to the harmony between Japanese poetry and visual art.
I currently serve as the Artist in Residence for the U.S. publishing house Literary Revelations, where I have created the cover art for numerous haiku collections—All of which have become Amazon bestsellers in both Japan and the United States.
Together with Editor-in-Chief Gabriela Marie Milton, I co‑authored "Haiku and Tanka Lull, Harmony, The Power of Japanese Art", further exploring the expressive depth of Japanese aesthetics on the international stage.
I introduce haiku activities overseas to Japan.
My contributions include donating haiku collections to institutions such as the Tanka and Haiku Japanese Poetry Museum and the Japanese Modern Literature Museum, helping to strengthen cultural exchange between Japan and the global literary community.
Born in Tokyo, lived in France until the age of 15. After graduating from a national university in Tokyo(Bachelor of Education), I have been working as a certified public accountant.
*The cover artwork I created for "Petals of Haiku", published by Literary Revelations, is now part of the permanent collection at Rinsenji -林泉寺-Treasure Museum, a historic temple in Japan with a legacy of more than 500 years.
*I have also dedicated a painting depicting a legendary duel between two renowned samurai warriors to Tenkyuji Temple-天厩寺-, located near the historic battlefield.
*“Haiku for Soulmates,” published by the U.S. publisher Literary Revelations—a work that became an Amazon bestseller in Japan, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada—features a cover painting created as its original artwork. This cover painting is now permanently exhibited at The Museum of Haiku Literature in Tokyo, the world’s only institution dedicated exclusively to haiku.
*In addition to these cultural contributions, I held solo exhibitions at Ginza Art Point Gallery in 2023 and Gallery Jiyugaoka in 2022.
