Kim Jordan

Kim is less interested in the title of artist than in the act of creating. She sees herself as someone who finds the beauty in everything. Whether it's discarded junk, leftover paint, or junk mail, she transforms it i to something aesthetically new. For Kim, creativity isn't about making something from nothing; it's about recognizing the beauty and potential that already exists and giving it new life.
She doesn’t come to a creation with a plan, but instead she lets the materials speak to her— she combines that with personal and emotional experiences throughout her life.
Her art is an experience and emotional process that infuses joy, trauma, family, and and everyday life into her work.

Kim graduated from the University of South Alabama with a bachelors degree in creative writing and education. She went on the get her masters in gifted education shortly after from the same university.
