Antonina Bormova

Antonina Bormova is a Ukrainian artist working with figurative painting within the field of conceptual and psychological exploration.

She was born in 1990 in Dolynska, Ukraine. She received formal art education, having completed art school and later graduated from the Faculty of Art and Graphics at a pedagogical university specializing in design.

Before focusing on painting, she worked in digital design and print media, as well as in the field of decorative and applied arts, concentrating on authorial painting on textile and leather objects. This multidisciplinary background has shaped her sensitivity to material, color, and contemporary visual language.

Since 2025, Bormovana has been working primarily with painting on canvas. Her artistic practice explores inner psychological conflicts, the tension between fear, desire, and aspiration, and the interaction between the conscious and the subconscious. The human figure in her work functions as a carrier of both personal and universal experience, while painting itself becomes a space for inner dialogue.

She works with acrylic, oil pastel, and aerosol materials.
