My paintings are rooted in lived experience and observation. Some emerge from self-portraiture, while others are shaped by the people I encounter and the moments that linger long after they’ve passed. Working primarily in oil, I use the figure to explore emotional presence rather than document reality. I believe a painting should reveal enough to invite the viewer in while leaving enough unsaid for them to find something of themselves within it.
