I am a Taiwanese contemporary artist whose work explores the intersection of Eastern philosophy, the evolution of Chinese writing, and abstract visual expression.
Rooted in the rich history of Chinese calligraphy, my practice draws upon Oracle Bone Script, Bronze Script, Seal Script, Clerical Script, Regular Script, Running Script, and Cursive Script. Rather than treating calligraphy as expressive handwriting alone, each work is grounded in historical research and the structural principles that have shaped Chinese characters over thousands of years.
Through this process, I reinterpret one of humanity's oldest writing systems into contemporary visual art. Influenced by Eastern philosophy, my work explores harmony, transformation, rhythm, and the balance between tradition and innovation. My goal is to create works that transcend language, allowing ancient Chinese characters to become a universal visual language for contemporary audiences.
Studied traditional Chinese calligraphy under renowned Taiwanese calligraphy masters, developing a strong foundation in Seal Script, Clerical Script, Regular Script, Running Script, and Cursive Script.
This classical training continues to shape a contemporary artistic practice that bridges historical scholarship with abstract visual expression.
Participated in numerous group exhibitions in Taipei, Taiwan.
Regularly invited to take part in cross-strait cultural exchange activities, representing Taiwan in artistic dialogue with Chinese calligraphers and ink artists.
