Paula Natalie Young is a British self taught abstract painter based in the South of England whose art career spans over a decade .

Working in oils, acrylics and mixed media Paula’s process is loose and spontaneous incorporating rich texture, layered surfaces and expressive marks to create contemporary evocative work that invites the viewer on a mystical journey with the freedom to form their own interpretation.

Her colour mastery culminates in powerful yet sensitive paintings with a captivating sense of place inspired by both the wilderness of nature and urban cities where she finds beauty in rugged landscapes, time worn surfaces and imperfections. She responds intuitively to each mark allowing the painting to evolve organically bringing a unique energy to each piece.

Paula’s collections can be found on display at her interiors store D’Urberville Contemporary Living in Dorset England where she combines her art with her interior design business, skilfully curating vintage and contemporary furniture with her work and providing a bespoke design service to her clients and collectors.
Her paintings are now part of private collections worldwide with an expanding portfolio of successful commissions.
