Aurelia Wellen

My name is Aurelia Wellen, and my art is a story of rebirth, resilience, and finding light in the darkest of times. For many years, I worked as a professional engineer, thinking my path was set. However, life drastically changed when I had to leave my home due to the war. Confronting deep displacement, loss, and a two-year struggle with severe depression, I found myself completely lost.But then, art saved me. When traditional therapy and psychologists couldn't pull me out of the darkness, picking up a paintbrush did. Painting became my ultimate therapy, my voice, and my salvation. It broke through my depression and opened up a world of color I didn't know I possessed.Today, painting is no longer just a hobby — it is my true calling and my greatest passion. Through my artwork, I want to share a powerful message with the world: no matter what you have been through or how hard you have fallen, you can always rise from your knees and start completely over. It is never too late to reinvent yourself and find joy again.
