Lisa Kostuk

Lisa is a Germany-based contemporary mixed-media artist whose work explores the idea of boundaries — between sea and land, nature and human presence, movement and stillness.

Her practice is rooted in an interest in the transitional spaces where two different environments meet and influence one another. Through abstract compositions, Lisa explores these boundaries not as fixed lines, but as fluid, changing spaces.

Working primarily with acrylic paint and natural materials, she combines layered surfaces, organic textures and found elements to create tactile landscapes that exist between abstraction and the natural world. The sea and coastline are a recurring starting point for her work, serving as a metaphor for transition, connection and change.

Her background in interior architecture, design and design management influences her approach to composition, space, material and colour. Rather than depicting a specific place, she creates atmospheric environments that invite the viewer to pause and consider their own interpretation of the boundary.
