I’m a Barcelona-based figurative painter working primarily in oil.

My work explores the relationship between physical presence and emotional distance, using the human figure to examine intimacy, vulnerability and moments of private introspection. My subjects often appear turned away, with lowered or closed eyes, creating a tension between being observed and remaining psychologically inaccessible.

I draw from the tradition of figurative and chiaroscuro painting while maintaining a contemporary visual language, with particular emphasis on the interaction of skin, light and shadow. I work in layers, allowing the figures to develop a strong physical presence while the surrounding space often recedes into darkness.

My current work continues this exploration through a series of figurative paintings centered on absence, gaze and the boundary between observer and subject.
