Rozalinda Gjetja is a visual artist working primarily in engraving and drawing, with a particular focus on graphite and charcoal. She studied at the Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles, where she completed a Bachelor’s degree in Visual, Plastic and Spatial Arts and later a Master’s degree specializing in engraving.

Her practice explores memory, absence and the instability of images. She often begins with photographs, which she alters through erasure, fragmentation and transformation, allowing the original image to gradually shift into something less certain. More recently, her work has moved beyond specific memories towards sensations, dreams and imagined images. Small and seemingly ordinary moments — light passing through leaves, a change in the atmosphere, shadows, textures or the feeling of a place — can become starting points for her drawings.

Rather than trying to recreate reality exactly, she is interested in what happens when an image becomes incomplete, distant or open to interpretation.

Her work has been presented in group exhibitions in Brussels, including exhibitions at the Fondation Boghossian, the Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles and Jill Hotel.
