Antonio Carlos Farias

I am a Brazilian Fine Art photographer whose artistic journey started when I was 15 in analog photography with a folding large format camera given by an uncle of mine. That was before moving to classic 35mm cameras such as Olympus FTL, OM1 and various.Today, my creative process is an exploration of conceptual photography, where reality serves as a canvas for poetic intervention. In series like 'The Water Cycle' and the upcoming 'The Earth Cycle', I often employ cinematic and digital manipulation techniques—such as daytime-to-nighttime transformations or hand-drawn lighting elements—to build evocative, dreamlike atmospheres. These deliberate choices are not meant to replicate nature, but to invite the viewer into a realm of magical realism and psychological landscape. By controlling light, shadow, and symbolic geometric forms, I investigate the subtle dialogue between human presence, isolation, and the passage of time.

Graduated in Business Admnistration but attended various private courses and photography meetings here in Brazil.
