"Over time, color became, and still is, a constant in my life. My first classes were in painting on porcelain, and after some time I was introduced to watercolors by a professor of mine. I discovered the combination of color and water, and how these two elements give way to transparencies, fluidity, light and color on paper, a perfect magic. "Mariakano" is a summary of everything I love to express in everyday functional objects and artworks.
