Mirza Mehdi Huseynov

My name is Mirza Mehdi Huseynov . I was born on 12 November 1972 in Ganja, Republic of Azerbaijan**. I am a professional artist and art educator, with an academic background in drawing, painting, and fine arts.
My artistic education began at the **Azerbaijan State College of Art in Baku**, where I studied from **1987 to 1991** and received a diploma qualifying me as a **Drawing and Painting Teacher**. This period played an important role in developing my artistic skills and establishing the foundations of my professional approach to visual art.
From **1991 to 1997**, I continued my higher education at the **Azerbaijan State Academy of Culture and Art**, specializing in art and painting. I completed my studies with a **Master of Science degree** and a diploma as an **Artist-Painter**. My academic training provided me with a strong foundation in drawing, painting, composition, and the broader principles of artistic practice.
Throughout my career, I have actively participated in exhibitions both in Azerbaijan and abroad.

Throughout my career, I have actively participated in exhibitions both in Azerbaijan and abroad. My exhibition history began at an early stage of my artistic development. In 1987, I participated in the 3rd International Young Artists Exhibition “The Younger & Culture” in Baku, Azerbaijan, where I achieved first place among young artists. In the same year, I participated in an exhibition of young artists at the National State Art Gallery named after Sattar Bahlulzade in Baku.

In 1991, I participated in the 7th Annual Exhibition of Ganja City Artists, held at the Art Gallery of the Azerbaijan State Artists Union in Baku. My participation in exhibitions continued in subsequent years, including the young artists' exhibition “Wings of Time,” sponsored by the SOROS Foundation in Azerbaijan, held in Baku in 2000–2001.

My artistic activity also developed beyond Azerbaijan. In 2001, I participated in the 4th Annual International Exhibition “World of Turkish” in Ankara, Turkey. In 2003, I held a personal exhibition at Taksim State Art Gallery in Istanbul, marking an important stage in my international artistic experience.
