Parish Still

Parish is an anonymous artist based in Switzerland. His path to painting began unexpectedly — after years of making music as a child, he discovered a different creative outlet while receiving treatment for mental health issues, using painting as a way to quiet his mind and step back from his OCD.

Self-taught and without formal art training, Parish builds each piece by starting with a single color and layering more of the same tone until the work flows into itself — soft, blended forms with no hard edges. Rather than chasing perfection, his process is built around release: letting go of control, embracing imperfection, and finding calm in the act of making.

His work is an attempt to be as honest and raw as possible, using painting as both a creative practice and a quiet form of self-regulation.
