Mark Lloyd

I am a London-based photographer whose practice centres on the urban environment, treating architecture and city space as raw material for graphic composition. My work looks for the point where a building, staircase, or street stops reading as a place and starts reading as line, pattern, and geometry — glass facades reduced to converging angles, colour used as structure rather than decoration. Working primarily in black and white and high-contrast colour, my images favour strong graphic form over documentary detail, with landscape occasionally entering the practice as a counterpoint to the city.
