About the Artist — Daniel Bermudez Barnes

I am an Argentine visual artist based in Resistencia, Chaco, whose practice explores the emotional, psychological, and symbolic dimensions of the human body.

My work brings together painting, drawing, and digital art, combining surrealist imagery with visceral forms to investigate what lies beneath the surface of human experience. Through fragmented anatomy, exposed hearts, organic textures, and symbolic elements, I explore vulnerability, emotional tension, inner conflict, and the fragile relationship between the body and the feelings it contains.

I am developing my own artistic language, which I call Visceral Surrealism. This ongoing investigation seeks to give visible form to what is often hidden, silenced, or difficult to express. Rather than pursuing decoration or shock for its own sake, I aim to create works that evoke emotion, discomfort, and reflection, inviting viewers to confront aspects of themselves that are not always easy to acknowledge.
