Shona Fenn

I started painting seriously just after I officially retired. I spent years working and looking after my severely disabled son Martin, who was the love of my life. When he died I was at a serious loss and started painting just to fill the void he had left. I found I loved it and spend many hours lost in just creating new pieces. I have tried acrylics but settled on oils when I discovered their rich colours and versatility. I am mainly self taught although I do follow various artists on YouTube. I mainly concentrate on painting seascapes, horses and still life. I have drawn horses since I was at school many, many years ago now!

I am mainly self taught although I have done many online courses to learn the intricacies of painting with oil paint.
