Short description
Painter, poet and experimental musician
His visual style is lyrical abstract. Intensive workflow explores the intersection of the technology and creativity with the process of art attitude
Technique - ebru. Ebru is a traditional Turkish painting art, and is defined as painting on water and transferring the painting onto paper. This style came later in the 17th century to Europe. The technique is known as water marbling. Originally, water colors are spread on sea weed liquid. Nummela uses water and alkyd and paints over it. The resulting effect is very original and inspiring. The technique is usable not only on paper, but also on canvas and metal plates.
Janne Nummela has studied music technology in Sibelius Academy Helsinki, and he has a Master of Science degree in Acoustics Engineering from Aalto University Helsinki. Nummela has released five albums experimental multigenre music, five volumes of poetry (including award winning Ensyklopedia). His poetry is translated in English, Swedish, Italy, Spanish, Portuguese, and Russian.
