ABOUT
EDUCATION
For more than 25 years, I have worked behind the lens building a body of work defined by intensity, shadow, and raw human presence.
Working predominantly in black and white, I strip away distraction to reveal character, vulnerability, and strength.
I explore masculinity not as a stereotype but as a spectrum—fragile, defiant, contemplative, and exposed.
I use light sculpturally, carving faces and bodies out of darkness to create a cinematic, almost primal atmosphere.
Each portrait I create seeks intimacy and intention, balancing technical precision with emotional risk.
I often isolate my subjects against deep black backgrounds to amplify gesture, texture, and gaze.
My work holds a dialogue between beauty and tension, control and surrender.
Through my images, I invite viewers to confront what is usually hidden—identity, desire, solitude, and power.
Over the decades, I have refined a visual language that is bold, minimalist, and unmistakably personal.
My passion for photography began early, inspired by my father, who instilled in me a deep respect for the craft and its expressive power. At fourteen, I started studying darkroom development, learning the discipline and patience of analog processes. I later continued my formal training at the Roberto Mata Academy in Caracas, where I specialized in portraiture, lighting, and photojournalism. That foundation shaped both my technical precision and my commitment to capturing authentic human stories.
