Lia Porto

With a practice grounded in painting and drawing I incorporated embroidery, collage and installations to explore and interrogate about, transcultural influences, memory, gender role, social standards and aesthetics, borders and permeability. Through time I been creating a lot of crosses and hybridizations .I´m interested in widening the range of the materials that I work with, because that also allows me to widen my conceptual explorations.
