I started drawing as a child, but quickly became enamored with photography, I got my first camera at about 10 (a Box "Brownie") and started making images with that and quickly progressed to a Yoshika SLR (and electro 35). I took art as a subject from the ago of 12 to the age of 18, and also Technical Drawing for a couple of years. Soon after I discovered music and so photography took a back-seat for many years. From music I discovered computers, and when I realized the exciting potential that they offer in terms of images my inspirations took on a new lease of life. I studied Computers at University level in 1997, and loved it so much that I decided to pursue it further, and attended the National College of Design and Technology in Christchurch, NZ. It was there that I started to experiment with images in Ernest. The subject that I covered were 3D Modelling, 3D Animation, Audio Visual, The Web and CD ROM production. I experimented with Strata creating 3D models, and animations and designed The "Nova" car and the "Millennium" housing design, also a chair, the P.O.D. (Positional Orientating Digitator).
