Marcela Carvalho was born in Minas Gerais, Brazil is a multifaceted artist working in the mediums of painting, ceramics, music and a writer for children's book and Diversecity Magazine. An educator, entrepreneur, works as an executive director for Marcela4arts in New York City with the focus of using art to heal and raise self-esteem to people from different back grounds and cultures. Her current project is with , and Sanctuary for Families, a nonprofit agency dedicated exclusively to serving domestic violence survivors and their children.
