Younghun Jang

My name is Young-hun Jang. I am an artist who is sculpting and painting in Korea. I am sculpting about forgetting things because of getting used to. I work in the form of satire. And I am color weakness. That's why I usually use black and white color.Below is my artist Statement.
There are things that are taken for granted in daily life. Sometimes we don't even notice them because we see and experience them every day: family, friends, material possessions, health, food, and more. In the midst of change, we may finally come to realize those taken for granted things around us. This piece reconstruct that moment of an artist when he realizes all the day to day blessings through life changes.

Many modern people are conscious of how other people think of them, so they disguise themselves using various masks. We often find people more worried about ‘how I look’ rather than ‘who I am'. They decorate themselves in order not to lag behind in the overheated competition of society and disguise their appearance and personality to suit the taste of others in order to not be overshadowed by fashion trends.
