INDUSTRIAL DIMENSIONAL ART.

The last four years I have been artistically exploring and navigating dimensional multi layer platforms. The layers sit or embed within each other , this allows the medium to become unrestricted by the conventional rectangle or square box medium.
This enables the artwork to venture into a movable state of boxes within planes. A visual dimensional field of artwork interacting seamlessly.
My intention is to move the viewer forward backwards and around into visual field. The as the view moves so does the perspective, change forcing the viewer to recalibrate at every vantage point..

Self taught.

Art has always been a integral part of my being from a young age to now as I reflect my 51 years.
Art is a constant in my life, however for years I worked in conventional labour intensive industries such as scaffolding and then into the managerial profession of security. I am thankful both jobs provided money and a front stage seat insight in life’s nuances of the human condition, but I always felt unfilled as if there was a missing piece to life’s puzzle.
Art unfortunately always sat in the background as a possible pursuit.
However over the last few years and the introduction of viable art industries, I have transitioned into commercial art this has allowed me the freedom to work and produce art.
Constantly working within art fields has opened the creative love of delving into multi mediums and reconstituting new ideas or projects of art.
This multi medium of joining many forms into one is a narrative that I am personally tethered to.
Being Samoan brought up in New Zealand then adopted by a Maori indigenous New Zealander and a Irish second generation New Zealander now living in Sydney for thirty two years, has naturally fused the ethos of fragmented cultures into new narratives.
