I paint what I love and I paint what I’m thinking about when I wake up and what I dream about. The works are an expression of the passion for the possible. These days I think a lot about the heartbreak of the climate crisis and the beauty of the climate movement and other social movements. I study social movements and the pervasiveness of pathological optimism in place of acknowledging real social issues. I’m inspired by the astonishingly brave people I am very privileged to work with in many social movements. My work is a celebration of collective social action and redemption through rebellion.
Almost 10 years of working in human rights and public policy in addition to being an artist and writer has given me a naked and pleasurable flirtation with the idea of creating positive social change.
My work is an amalgam of dreams, research, conceptualism, contemporary culture and social theory.
