To paint, I choose anonymous people crossed randomly in my daily life, solitary characters absorbed in their activities. In representing, fleeting cliche of a fragment of life, I create a pictorial space in which I question the idea of ​​intimacy. Comment, by the demonstration, publicize the private?

In my work, especially architectural space is very important. A portrait is not only, for me, a face, but also a space in which it appears.

My painting often represents solitary characters, absorbed in their activities that come out a little out of the ordinary. My inspiration is fueled by images that I see now: photos taken in the street, in public places or portraits of friends and people I know. Then, I choose the specific fragments of these images to create my pictorial space. My paintings also show my fascination with shadows, lights and architectural spaces.

The settings and the images often an impression of melancholy and intimacy. For me, a portrait is not only a face, it is also the space in which it appears.
