Tassos Alamanos was born in 1953 at Corfu Island. He has studied Film Direction in the Athens School of Film Studies and he directed the film "The Portrait of Elizabeth" in 1974. He continued his studies in the field of drawing and painting at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels.
Since 1983 he performed two solo exhibitions in Brussels in the L'Angle Aigu Gallery, two solo exhibitions at Corfu, one in the Reading Society of Corfu and one in the Municipal Gallery of Corfu and he participated in a group exhibition in Gallery 3 (Corfu town). Recently he performed a solo art show at the Vrissaki Art Gallery in Athens (October 2011).
His painting is represented in private collections in Athens as well as in New York, Brussels, Rotterdam, Vienna, and Munich. It is worth noting that his Deposition painting hangs in the Ionian Parliament in Corfu.
He is a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece.
