My painting career began nearly 30 years ago simply as a hobby. Since that time, I have studied at classes, workshops, online documentaries and Ghost Ranch in New Mexico. My inspirations come from scenery, photographs, ideas and exploration. My media has included watercolor, acrylics, pencil and oil. Oil is my chosen method and includes abstracts, scenery, southwest and florals. Living in Colorado and visiting in New Mexico and other areas in the southwest, plus a 33,000 mile RV trip around the perimeter of the U.S., inspires my adobes, mountains, water scenes and love of Native American subjects. I am also a travel writer having been published in newspapers and magazines across the country with the photos supplied by my photographer husband. Painting soothes my soul and provides countless hours of therapeutic activity as I contemplate each stroke, color and shape to complete the vision I originally sought.
