Thomas Arenberg

I was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut in 1953. For the first six years of my life I lived in the Success Village housing project. My father became a Field Service Representative for Sikorsky Aircraft. At the age of 6 we were shipped to Key West, Florida where we lived for 3 years followed by 1 year in Providence Rhode Island, Gathaab, Greenland for 6 months, and Copenhagen, Denmark for 5 1/2 years.

My high school education was completed in Stamford, Connecticut. I studied at Paier College of Art for 3 years where the basic foundations of design, color, advertising, illustration, and fine art were taught.
I worked in the silkscreen industry and in a package design studio until my first son was born.

I established a successful building maintenance company which I ran for several years. Branched into construction with a second company specializing in historic restorations. I worked on the restoration of The Hedges, one of the mansions in Newport Rhode Island.

I've been working as a graphic artist and web master foe the last 20 years at Whelen Engineering.

I began painting in earnest while living in Copenhagen and have managed to continue painting by stealing time where I could. I am now approaching retirement age and...
