Gilles Lietard

Gilles LIETARD was born in 1960 in the Paris region where he also grew up and still lives.
He was attracted to images of all kinds at an early age and started doing photography at 19 when he bought his first camera.
His main subjects were, even at that time, landscapes, the sea and nature.
This early stage was followed in the 80s by formal studies at a photography school.
Following a long phase of personal and artistic maturing, he purchased a large-format camera and shot his first large-format pictures.
The latter, shot with a miniature camera again, are a part of a period of creativity wich probably calls forth a renewed approach of photography.
