Jelena DojčInović

Jelena Dojčinović ( 1990. Serbia, Leskovac) is a contemporary visual artist whose practice is primarily rooted in contemporary abstract painting. She holds a Master’s degree in Applied Painting from the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade, Serbia.

Her artistic practice explores abstraction through gesture, movement, spontaneity and expressive freedom. Working intuitively with line, colour, texture and dynamic compositions, Dojčinović creates paintings in which gesture becomes a means of translating emotion, energy and inner experience into visual form. Her approach is characterized by an expressive and instinctive language, balancing controlled composition with the freedom of movement.

Dojčinović has received several awards in the fields of painting, drawing and printmaking. Her work has been presented in several solo exhibitions and in more than 40 group exhibitions in Serbia and internationally.

Her paintings invite the viewer into an open visual space where abstraction is not defined by a single interpretation, but experienced through rhythm, movement, colour and emotion. Through her practice, she continues to explore the possibilities of contemporary abstraction and the expressive potential of the painterly gesture.
