Olivier Vancappellen

I was born on the 23rd of October 1977.
I currently live in Brussels, Belgium.

My style is rather barbaric but authentic. When I draw there is often a time when I leave the pencil fade out in order to get the impression the that the line become alive so I can watch it move and interact with the other lines inside the drawing. I love it when I can distinguish between these lines a feeling that is touching, new and still blurry to me. And once it is fixed on the paper I can remember it, otherwise it will just be lost in time because I forget everything very easily. I usually start from a figurative base, and then I dive progressively into abstraction.
