Olga Raag is a contemporary artist and the founder of a unique painting style resembling- Mosaicism.
For me, 𝗠𝗢𝗦𝗔𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗦𝗠 begins not with a particular subject, but with my own way of seeing reality.
I perceive the world around me as a multitude of fragments 🔺️⏺️⏹️◀️⏏️— lines, planes, colors, light, human characters🤍, and details. I deconstruct a familiar image into geometric elements and then reconstruct it.
At the same time, it is important for me not to lose the person or the object within the geometry. Whether I depict a person, a car, the sea, architecture, or an everyday scene, the same visual logic should remain.
For me, the sign of a developed artistic language is when the viewer no longer needs to see the artist’s signature.🔲 They recognize the artist through the work itself.
Mosaicism is not a collection of subjects. It is a way of seeing and structuring the world
