Post Conceptual Painter //
My intention is to create art that resonates internally, sparking a personal reaction.
These works are not meant to represent but to provoke an individual experience, neither asking for understanding or offering explanations.
There is however an undercurrent in the work which evokes musical energy.
Music is a significant aspect of the human condition.
It has provided inspiration for me to visually explore the energy of music as it relates to terms such as tempo, rhythm, harmony, accent and articulation. I showcase the complexity of this subject in an unrestrained use of colour and form, offering the viewer an entry to experience these images.
Many of these works are titled after musical terms which anchor the art to the qualities of music.
