About Franois Lanzi
Born in Corsica in 1916 to a bourgeois family, studied in Paris, prisoner of war from 1940-45 (see autobiographical account), married an English lady in 1954, lived in London and Chiddingfold (Surrey). Died 1988.
Influenced by early 20th century artists and then abstract expressionists. Oeuvres in USA, UK, France, Belgium and other countries.
Ajaccio, Corsica and then studying art in Paris under Professor Guillot de Raffaillac. Exhibited in both Paris, London, Newcastle. (Redfern, AIA, RBA, Stone Gallery, The Gallery, Knaphill),
