Jared Whitham has been cultivating and selling his original style for decades. He considers himself a neo-dadaist post pop non-stylist American artist. Whitham's work generated an underground cult following through the years. Producing enigmatic paintings, music, films, and performance art. His public work spanned from art happenings in Brooklyn to his NYC television broadcast to millions in 2008. Whitham has been capturing the a collective imagination for years. If you didn't tune into his TV show you may have caught some of his art on the New York City Streets. Collaborating with artists such as film maker Nick Zedd to comedian Zac Galifinackus. Whitham has shown at several international art fairs and respected galleries. Whitham is an interdisciplinary artist merging paint, sculpture, elaborate sets, performance, and video. Distilling a handmade television series to, painting; or making a film inspired by the vision of a painting. Weather it's performance art or video Jared always brings us back to a fresh new adventure in paint. Whitham claims that he is related to Van Gogh and ten American presidents. The revolutionary Van Gogh spirit is felt in his work. Naturally gifted and for the most part self taught, Jared was a prodigy producing graduate level work in high school. He attended Collage at the Ringling School of Art and design. He dropped out after one year, and moved to NYC to pursue his dreams. Jared's experience of 9/11 in NYC, catalyzed him to breaking many artistic boundaries. Cultivating an ability to capture the anxiety of the time. He's developed a hybrid process driven style, enjoyed by anyone who encounters it.
