A Note About My Artwork Classification - Since I am now producing a large number of digital artworks as well as photographic artworks, I wanted to clarify how I categorize them. If an image starts as a file produced by light from the real world passing through a lens, I categorize these artworks as photography, no matter how much I may alter these files or use just microscopic snippets of them. But if the artwork file starts just as a file made by me on my computer, then these artworks I classify as digital artworks.

Took photography courses w/ Minor White (student Ansel Adams) & animation courses w/ Derek Lamb a noted animation artist

1970's & '80s - ongoing, though intermittent, study with my father a highly regarded photographer for several prestigious magazines. Was his assistant at location shoots at Metropolitan Museum of Art (NYC); MoMA (NYC); Whitney Museum (NYC); Fogg Museum (Harvard, Cambridge Mass); Yale University Library (New Haven, CT); the White House; throughout Texas & New Mexico for a book on the art of the Spanish Southwest
