Cassia — Contemporary Abstract Artist

Cassia is a Swiss contemporary artist working within the field of intuitive abstraction. Her practice explores the interplay of gesture, colour, texture and emotion, transforming impressions of the natural world into layered, atmospheric compositions.

Inspired by the landscapes of Switzerland — its mountains, lakes, forests and changing light — Cassia does not depict nature literally. Instead, she distils its sensory and emotional essence into an abstract visual language.

Working primarily in acrylic on canvas, she builds depth through successive layers of pigment, gesture and texture, allowing each work to evolve intuitively. Her paintings invite a personal encounter, where colour becomes space and emotion becomes form.

Her works are held in private collections in Switzerland and internationally.
