We create to understand our existence and our sense of purpose. As artist we have been given the gift and power to create magically a thing of beauty. I discovered an epic moment at four years of age in my grandfather's Miami studio on Biscayne Bay in mixing colors .In that instant, the satin sunrise ignited the morning light as it sea sawed,dancing and bouncing on the ripples of the sun washed sea . I grabbed that moment and somehow turned it into a lifetime of creating art. I have reinterpreted those embryonic memories into my artwork. At twelve years of age my formal artistic education began with studying Rembrandt's palette. I was born in Miami, Florida and received my BFA from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. At NYU, I received my MA in Art and Art Education in Venice, Italy and New York City. I have traveled extensively to Ibiza, Spain; France, India, Central and South America, Europe, the Middle East, New Zealand, and Australia. I have embedded these experiences into creating overlapping realities in my artwork. The colors of the Caribbean and the mysticism of India are expressed through my abstracted realities.
