Born in Australia 1963. My working class Londoner parents emigrated to look for a better life, but went back to England when I was 5. I moved to Rome after 8 o'levels instead of going to art college (1980, aaggh teenage love !) Have been in Italy for 30 years.
Now an Interior Designer.
I'm self taught, mainly from visiting exhibitions, museums and experimenting rather than from books. I have loved drawing and crafts for as long as my memory can back-track. Like most ( I think) you keep at it till you can do something realistic and copy the masters, then get a desire to do something different and individual. Inspiration can come from anything; colours reflected in a puddle, texture - life.
