About Richard Bailey
I have been a freelance photographer for twenty years, primarily working in the areas of advertising and portrait photography.
I also curate a touring exhibition concerned with all aspects of Down's syndrome.
I have many personal projects that I work on and have included the 'bird series' on this site.

For the past eight years I have curated the Shifting Perspectives photographic exhibition, taking it to over 50 different venues in 12 different countries including Japan, USA, Hungary and Turkey.

This work explores the photographic representation of people with Downs syndrome, challenging attitudes and prejudices and examining alternative representations of both adults and children.The ever expanding Shifting Perspectives exhibition continues to tour the country, giving more people the chance to see the individual, not just Downs syndrome.,
