Initially his artistic education was autodidact, before taking private painting classes with professor Arturo Lazcano, a drawing diploma course in the San Carlos Academy, and classes and workshops of artistic initiation.

He studied the career of enamelwork techniques followed by metal sculpturing at the (EDA) of the Mexican National Institute of Fine Arts. He also took free workshops of sculpturing, drawing, painting, photography and serigraphy and he participated in diploma courses and conferences about plastic art, design, art history, visual anthropology and the life and work of artists from past eras.

Although Morris strength resides in painting and sculpturing, he is a multidisciplinary artist as his work also focuses on the design of functional-decorative objects; in particular he has developed furniture and decorative proposals for bars, restaurants and private homes.

His approach focuses on working in series, be it for painting, drawing or sculpture. The experimentation with materials is as fundamental for this work as the development of his own discourse.
